To what extent are the things we learn to build from Team Treehouse protected by copyright, trademark, etc.
For instance, when we learn to build a weather app in Swift, one would assume that we cannot use the images that are provided, if we were to publish an expanded version of the application.
What else are we legally prohibited or even discouraged from using?

From here it seems i'd stay away from images and design looks. I'd assume since they have you 'write' the code through their service they give you rights to use those. Especially this part suggests that:

644 PointsI would assume since it's a "learning program" you probably could. I wouldn't use the images provided but I bet if you used the source code you'd probably be ok.
