1,701 PointsFileZilla transfer is requiring me to overwrite frequently and is showing more failed transfers than succesful transfers
I'm in the process of trying to transfer the wordpress file through filezilla onto my server but I already had been working on wordpress directly through the dashboard so there are existing files. It is prompting me to overwrite every file and taking extremely long but also showing more failed transfers than successful ones.

5,274 PointsThere are a few things that can be causing it. First, if you're updating Wordpress you'll definitely need to overwrite files. If you're updating a theme you designed and using the same structure, you'll see the same things.
As for failures, you might not have permission to overwrite files in a particular directory. You can check the permissions in your Filezilla control pane.
What specific errors are you receiving?

1,701 PointsI believe so, how would I be able to tell if I'm incorrectly connected? I filled out the information under Host: Username: and Password: and it states I Connected.
P.s. I am a first time user of FileZilla

5,274 PointsIt's all good, everyone starts somewhere. The Filezilla forums might be a better place for you to ask for specific help troubleshooting; here's a link to an article about the "Timeout Error" to get you started: https://forum.filezilla-project.org/viewtopic.php?t=28828

5,274 PointsAre you correctly connected to your server? This can mean it's taking too long to connect and upload files. It can also show up if you're using a firewall and haven't made an exception for Filezilla.
