JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Making Decisions with Conditional Statements Add a Final Else Clause

final else clause....giving me a syntax error??

someone have mercy on my brain.....help??

It runs as it should once you remove (false) .

var isAdmin = false;
var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin ) {
    console.log('Welcome administrator');
} else if (isStudent) {
    console.log('Welcome student');
} else {
    console.log('Who are you?');
}

On your else statement, you don't need the parenthesis.

if ( isAdmin ) {
    alert('Welcome administrator');
} else if (isStudent) {
    alert('Welcome student');
} else {
    alert("Who are you?");
}
