Hey Tawanda,

So you actually don't need a console.log here, its only asking you to join the two variables with a "#" in the middle and make sure they are both ran with .toUpperCase(). That would look like this:

var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase() + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();
