finding work as a developer

I have been looking for work now as a developer but I find recruiters to be a pain. They just want people with a college degree in computer science and at least 3 years work experience for a junior position. which i think i am perfectley capable of handling.

Besides the lessons Team treehouse I work through te CS50 lectures and assignments, what more can I do?

Does anyone else have the same experience while jobhunting?

I think the best thing would be is creating your own projects putting them online and they would be on your resume to see that you are capable of doing PHP. That's what I have read on some articles online about people who learn programming languages outside of Universities.

Yeah I agree. You absolutely should develop your own or other peoples' stuff.

They want proof of your abilities, which is fair enough. Give it to them.
