CSS CSS Flexbox Layout Flexbox Properties Growing and Aligning Flex Items

flex basis should work

what have I done wrong

style.css
/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */

.row {
  display: flex;
}
.columns {
  display:flex-basis;
}

1 Answer

"flex-basis" is not actually a value for display. Now that you have correctly set the "row" class to a 'flex' container, your columns are "flex items". What flex-basis does is it defines the default size of your flex item before space is distributed in the container. This value can be a length or a keyword. It will look like this: flex-basis: 100px;
