flexbox help

i dont understand the question at all, really badly written.

Hey Gil! I understand your frustration. Tasks can be confusing at times. And often times they want very specific answers. So it can help to focus on the words they chose to use in outlining this task.

"Select the class .column and use the flex item property and value that will expand the columns to fill the space of the row."

You've already done the first part and last part of the task. Selecting the class .column and setting the value. So let's look at the property you're using,

Flex is a shorthand property, and while Guild does mention in the video review that "Using only one number value for flex sets the flex-grow value of an item" the challenge doesn't accept it as an answer because it's looking for the specific property, not the shorthand, that will EXPAND the columns. SO, what could be another word for expand? Grow! So you'll want to use the flex-grow property instead. I hope that helps! :)
