Game Development How to Make a Video Game Player Input and Cameras Move the Player with Animation

Frog only jumps but does not move forward.

using System.Collections; using System.Collections.Generic; using UnityEngine;

public class PlayerMovement : MonoBehaviour {

private Animator playerAnimator;
private float moveHorizontal;
private float moveVertical;
private Vector3 movement;

// Use this for initialization
void Start () {
    playerAnimator = GetComponent<Animator> ();
}

// Update is called once per frame
void Update () {
    moveHorizontal = Input.GetAxisRaw("Horizontal");
    moveVertical = Input.GetAxisRaw("Vertical");

    movement = new Vector3 (moveHorizontal, 0.0f, moveVertical);
}

void FixedUpdate() {
    if (movement != Vector3.zero) {
        playerAnimator.SetFloat("Speed", 3f);
    } else {
        playerAnimator.SetFloat("Speed", 0f);
    }
}

}

I get no error messages, and i make the frog jump if i press any movement button, but it only jumps and does not move forward. Does not problem lay in the code or am i doing something else wrong?

You've likely solved this problem already but...

select your frog in the scene view or use the object's transform component to move it along the y axis until you're sure its sitting top of the the environment, not under it. hope that helps!
