From the Express Basics course, what should I do, shall I need to install ubuntu
on my computer and use this system as my environment learning it. or I could use treehouse self code environment to study learning, thank you for your helping.

You don't need to install a whole new operating system. Since express and node are JavaScript frameworks, you can use them on any machine (Windows, Mac, Unix). You'll just need to use the console (e.g. Command Prompt on Windows or Terminal on Mac) to follow the course.
