10,239 Pointsfunction.py is giving an error. What's wrong with my code?
my code:
def add_list(nums_list): total = 0 for num in nums_list: total = total + num return total
def summarize(nums_list): added_list = add_list(nums_list) print("The sum of {} is {}.".format(nums_list, added_list))
the error: "NoneType object has not attribute lower"
# add_list([1, 2, 3]) should return 6
# summarize([1, 2, 3]) should return "The sum of [1, 2, 3] is 6."
# Note: both functions will only take *one* argument each.
def add_list(nums_list):
total = 0
for num in nums_list:
total = total + num
return total
def summarize(nums_list):
added_list = add_list(nums_list)
print("The sum of {} is {}.".format(nums_list, added_list))

Treehouse Guest Teachersummarize()
needs to return
the string, not print()
it.
