As treehouse gets more courses I believe that some key frameworks and programming language be added. PHP Codeigniter looks like a really powerful framework to speed up production and as for languages Microsoft's C# and .net framework are really popular robust language and it's a shame it's not added here.

They good news is they've started a little bit of your request. They haven't done codeigniter, but they have started doing Laravel. I bet the skills you'd learn in the Laravel course would make using codeigniter or cakephp so much easier to get going.

11,190 PointsThat is very true Kevin, but as you're aware they have courses for about most platforms with their inclusion of Java and Objective-C. I just think its a shame Microsoft's languages don't( as of right now) have a fair share in the learning process. It's a really nice and advanced language and those are the kinds we should be learning here at treehouse. But of course not to bad mouth treehouse, I appreciate all the courses they have here, they have been super helpful in my learning process.

Courses Plus Student 34,936 PointsI agree about the frameworks--except for the Microsoft bit. There's an overabundance of training/certification/etc. out there for Microsoft's closed, proprietary, "Windows only" development ecosystem. Web development has been heading away from that mindset for years, and is only gathering steam. Meanwhile, Microsoft continues to double down on "our way or nothing".
Here's where I follow upcoming courses, by the way: www.teamtreehouse.com/roadmap

Courses Plus Student 15,286 PointsYeah, I suggested some courses like Angular.js and Backbone.js. Could be very useful given how popular they're becoming.

39,199 PointsTreehouse is a web and mobile app company. So Java and C# are kings of the desktop they aren't kings of web world, that's PHP, Ruby & Python.

Courses Plus Student 34,936 PointsJames, C#'s all over the web. It's integral to the .NET framework, and heavily used for web app development. I'm not a Microsoft fan, but there it is.
