Courses Plus Student 565 PointsGame Development Organizations for an Innovative Game?
Hello, I have worked upon an innovation in a sport game and am the owner of the game. This game brings out several new opportunities and facilities in online gaming and a completely innovative gaming strategy. It has potential to be a big thing in online Gaming. Are there any organizations to contact with and show the gaming details to them so as to make it a success? I and team can work together with an organization to create it, if you can suggest any such discussion with a leading Company or with Treehouse itself?

Very few companies would invest in ideas, we are at a point in tech investments that very few firms would invest in seed stage funding, and most of those would want to bring you and your team to work on the app with them, under their supervision and with their facilities.
My advice is to build the game first, launch it and see peoples reaction to the game. Because it's very hard for any large organization to invest in an idea on paper. When you launch the game you have data and analytics to support your idea, without that you would look a bit out of your depth and seem like someone who doesn't understand the industry.
For the next steps, I would start with the team, you should definitely build a proof of concept first, or a minimum viable product "MVP" to go do user tests with. After that you need to figure out how are you going to monetize the game. As in how is you business model going to make money? is it through in game purchases, advertising or any other form of income you can think of. And then you need to focus on analytics to see how people interact with the game, how many users download it everyday? How many play it everyday? How many times a day? and for how long? And then you have to figure out your average user life span, as in how long it takes a user to get bored of the game and stop playing it, or even uninstall it. This in subscription based business models is called Churn Rate.
The main purpose of all of this to determine how well your app retains it's users. The numbers your investors or advertisers would like to know are you ARPDAU -Average Revenue Per Daily Active User-, LTV Life time value for each user and the churn rate.
Mobile games are tough, but if you have a good idea, people will eat it up.
Hope this helps, good luck. Ali

33,293 PointsOkay, first, I am going to assume you are not a developer. And for this reason you have no idea how big of a project something like this would be. Second I am going to assume you have no business or enterprise building experience. And for this I will give you only business advice.
Your pitch isn't something a big organization would take seriously. Mainly because to me it seems like you are making a mountain of a grain of sand. As big of a fan as you might be of cricket, it is no where even close to being the second most popular sport in the world.
And it seems like you are trying to actually change the original game and then make a digital version of it. That to me is like casting a net and then trying to find fish to go to it.
I don't want to discuss or take away from the idea. But if you ever say things to a game studio like you posted here you wouldn't be taken seriously.
There are so many cricket fantasy leagues and all of them combined don't amount to half the basketball or football fantasy revenue in two companies in the US or like bid8 in Europe.
Big organizations would be too worried about sharing the ownership of intellectual property so essential to the game with anyone outside the studio.
And taking a risk on a variation of a current sport that hasn't even launched or gathered any type of audience around it seems very unlikely.
Though I can say this, unless someone very senior in a game studio is on treehouse, your chances of getting a connection here are very small.
Trust me, build it, prove it, and they will come to you. If you chase them, especially that you need them more than they need you, you might get cut out of your own idea. Be realistic and set realistic expectations for you and your investors. Don't be too optimistic. Especially in this space.
Good luck

Courses Plus Student 565 PointsYes Ali, I am not an Enterprise. You are right on that part. But, when I give statistics to someone about my creations and related to this particular game, I don't just say it, just like that. Well, Cricket is, in fact, the second most popular sport in the world. And I can share the complete game details with the Organization, if it agrees upon mutually developing it and on a mutual profit. And also, I and team too shall co-develop it with the Company as you have said it earlier here. Correct me if I am wrong on this. And a Companies themselves encourage their employees to create something innovative and that too of well worth. Right?
Ali M Malik
33,293 PointsThe company encourages it's own employees to come up with ideas. They don't encourage the public to contact them with ideas.
And again in terms of revenue, cricket is not even in the top 5. And I have the data to prove that. That's why I am worried about you. The ICC made about $2.5 billion in 2015, that's the equivalent of Real Madrid and Barcelona only in spain combined revenue, and even less than their current value individually. That's the whole international cup. Sports here aren't about fans, it's about money, and cricket barely has enough to keep it going, that the icc had to change their business model a couple of years ago to stay in business.
Yes there are many fans, it could be the second largest in the world in terms of the audience. But even countries like Australia and the UK don't make money from cricket, it is no where even close to even horse racing in terms of revenues. Not a market I would get involved in. A lot of competition for very little reward.
Again, you're too optimistic. This might collapse on your head and you won't even see it coming.

Courses Plus Student 565 PointsWell, to be specific, the popularity of a Game is decided by its viewership, as you have said. Isn't it? Not just that, my country is the second largest population in the world and this sport is among top priorities in people's day to day life. Not just here, but, it is becoming popular in European and American continents as well. Each year, new countries get attached with the game.
Above all, with not just expanding its boundaries, but with the kind of game that I am talking about, it shall be the first of its kind, that a number of individual players shall get involved in a single game. And it even makes cricket an individual game with several skills and advancements involved in it. Also, on the numbers, as I have checked, Real Madrid's last recorded total revenue, which is the Biggest club of the sport, was 797 million USD and some of the Biggest clubs of Indian Premier League in Cricket have last recorded their revenues around 85 to 95 million USD in just 7 to 8 seasons. Those are big numbers. Also, I haven't forced you for anything, I have designed this game as a designer, I am also working on the other aspects on my level as well. And I have posted this post in the community for TreeHouse and even specific Gaming Organizations. Are you an official from TreeHouse?

Courses Plus Student 565 PointsYou are right that a company can encourage its own employees for innovations, also, however, a company can surely go for adapting them from a person who has already worked in a company, right. And also, do you work somewhere and if not, are willing to work on developing game? Reply on that.

33,293 PointsI am not from treehouse, just like you, I am another member. You came here asking for advice, and I wanted to bring you back to earth as you have been sky high and I am afraid that you'll be shocked by the current state of the industry. I am not trying to talk you out of it. But obviously you lack relevant experience, and you need to see things the way they are, not the way you want them to be. And when comparing 797 million to 95 million, the 95 seems like pocket change, and those are revenues not net profits, keep that in mind.
We can disagree about the idea, but the facts are that revenue is what drives success in this field. And no the sport isn't valued by it's viewership, unless you're a cable or broadcasting company, the number of people that follow the sport isn't a large determining factor. The engagement and customer lifetime value is what matters.
Anyway, treehouse doesn't develop games. It's an education platform, not a startup accelerator. That's who you should be in touch with.
good luck

Courses Plus Student 565 PointsYou seem to be quite a football fan, even I play football. I play several of them. The point is, the facts, are what I am talking about as well. As I have told you, 85 to 95 revenue is in just 7 to 8 seasons, and that too in just India. Several of such teams exist in Australia, England and around the Cricket market. Hence, it is the rapid growth rate which is main here. And the viewership and people attached with the game are straight away relevant with the Game's success. You do understand that. I have worked on several projects, so have you and this is quite a big one and that too one of its kind. And it does bring out a brilliant advancement in cricket.
Well, Treehouse is a big organization, it is up to the decisive team, if they have any such team and any other means such as other gaming organizations or relevant medium. That is what this post is about.
And again, Thankyou for your reply.

Courses Plus Student 565 PointsYes Ali, I have a Brilliant gaming Strategy Based upon a Rule Book which I hold the Copyrights to. In short I have the Technology and I can give it to a Company to monetize on it with a mutual profit. And that is the reason that I have posted this Question for an official contact in a Company with the details of the game. I really appreciate your point of making it on my own, and with a team of my own. But then, we are talking about a next level advancement in the second most popular sport in the world, The Game is related to Cricket and an advanced version of it. And that is the reason I have decided to give it a good launch in a good organization while I work on a Real Life Tournament of the Game as Well Simultaneously for the good of Cricket as a sport. Isn't that what people in the organizations itself are asked to do, to Innovate and that too something worthy? Isn't that worthy?
