1,361 PointsGetting correct output on my machine but it says wrong output here. What could be wrong?
I know I have changed the S sub-class so that the parameters are not hard coded. How else could it be done with the parameters hard coded within the init method of S? What is your solution to this? Maybe i am unable to understand the question itself
class Letter:
def __init__(self, pattern=None):
self.pattern = pattern
def __iter__(self):
yield from self.pattern
def __str__(self):
output = []
for blip in self:
if blip == '.':
output.append('dot')
else:
output.append('dash')
return '-'.join(output)
@classmethod
def from_string(cls,patt):
patt = patt.split('-')
patt2=[]
for i in patt:
patt2.append("." if i=="dot" else "-")
return cls(patt2)
class S(Letter):
def __init__(self,pattern=None):
# pattern = ['.', '.', '.']
super().__init__(pattern)

, the pattern needs to use underscores (_) instead of hyphens (-*).
Also, there is no need to modify the class S
code.

1,361 PointsThanks Chris. that change to '_' instead of hyphen worked. I didn't read the challenge carefully enough i guess!
