Hello everyone,
I want to start developing an android application and test it on my Google Nexus 4.
I tried several troubleshooting guides from the interweb and also from the google developer site.
My PC is running on Windows 8 64 bit. I manually installed the correct driver for the phone, got the windows device manager to recognize the phone as an "android device" but in Eclipse it still doesnt show up.
Any thoughts?
~ Nikos.

Treehouse Project ReviewerHard to tell what's the problem. The Nexus 4 plays pretty nicely with everything from my experience. Have you tried this:
Press the windows key. Type sdk Click SDK Manager Scroll down to extras Install Google USB Driver

10,322 PointsYeah i have the Google Usb Driver installed... This driver is made for older devices though.
I got the correct one for my Nexus 4 installed, but the AVD remains empty... I activated the debugging mode on my phone also.
I suppose it has something to do with windows 8 and/ or the 64-bit version.

Treehouse Project ReviewerI doubt it. I have 64bit Win 8 installed on one of my machines and the nexus 4 worked with no problems. Do you have USB debugging enabled on your phone?

10,322 PointsYes, as i wrote on the previous post.
So what did you do to get it to work? Just plug it in?

1,540 PointsI am have the same issue with both of my windows machines I have 64bit Vista and Windows 7. I am also looking forward to a solution because I don't want to keep using the mac that my job provided me.

Treehouse Project ReviewerSorry, didn't notice you wrote that. And yes, I just set debugging to enabled and it works perfectly, like my nexus 7 and nexus 10.
