JavaScript jQuery Basics Introducing jQuery Using text() and html()

Getting this error: Did you make a call to the "text" method on the jQuery with a selector of ".profile-text"? Why?

Have reviewed this lesson numerous times and don’t see what else is needed. Any help would be appreciated.

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
    <title>Document</title>
</head>
<body>
    <h1 class="profile-header"></h1>
    <p class="profile-text"></p>

    <script
    src="jquery-3.2.1.min.js"></script>
    <script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
app.js
$(".profile-text");
$('.profile-text').text('I am a web developer');

Thanks, Markβ€”β€” did that and it worked! Thanks for helping.

Just delete your first line. You were suppose to modify it. Little confusing because usually you are suppose to add your code under your previous code. But this time they want you to modify the previous line. This will pass

$('.profile-text').text('I am a web developer');
