If you are calling on the function demo() it will return "go away." if you are calling on the variable then it will return "welcome."

The code should be like this though:

var message="welcome"; function demo() { var message="go away"; return message; } console.log(message); // welcome console.log(demo()); // go away

thanks !!

function elevatorCloseButton(pushed) {

    if (pushed) {
        var status = "I'll close when I'm ready.";
    }

}

elevatorCloseButton(true);

I have an another question =: what does mean (true) in this case? Thank you
