Hey Everyone!
So I'm sort of looking for a good multi-purpose IDE. I recently started to branch out of the Python world and started looking into Google's Go programming language (BTW, if you guys ever decided to make course(s) on it that would be cool aswell). But I'm interested in building web app with it. So an IDE that could do front-end work would be neat aswell.
So far it seems Github's Atom editor is the one for this job, but I thought I'd ask here to see what other people think.
Thanks a bunch for reading,
Jack

Courses Plus Student 11,734 PointsHey Jacob,
Are you asking about Text Editors or IDEs?
Getting a little confusing.
If you are after Text Editors, then I recommend Atom or Sublime Text 2
I use both and can recommend them

The paid IDEs help refactor and help you typo a little less. You can use travis from github to test your code.

Travis may be good for open source projects but not for closed sourced unless you want to pay $$$ monthly. So keep that in mind. Also most people usually use Travis as the CI and do testing before pushing to the repos. This way you find the errors before pushing to Github or whatever you use. I would reccomend to OP that he learns how to unit test first before setting up Travis.
