Good guide for applying textures to 3D JSON objects loaded with three JS?

I've tried creating some models in Blender and exporting to JSON, but the effects applied in blender don't seem to translate or are unsupported in the browser. This guide shows how to initialize the scene, load the object, and apply simple color and lighting but doesn't go into great detail about what can and can't be done with three JS. Any thoughts?
