To create 3 equal-width content columns in a 12 column row, we'll need to make each one how many columns wide.

I think the questions is possibly easier than you think, it is only wanting your to divide the 12 total columns into three even sections.

12 Columns / 3 = 4

So from this we now know that each individual content column needs to be 4 grid columns wide :)

The above is the best I could think of visually with a keyboard but shows the use of splitting the page into three by using 4 grid columns..
