660 Pointsgrid.css doesn't affect my site
Hi, I just created the grid.css using notepad++, then I applied some changes to it, nothing happened. Here is the code from grid.css:
.container{
width: 1000px;
margin: auto;
}
Here is the code from index.html:
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/>
<title>Smells Like Bakin' Cupcake Company</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/normalize.css" type="text/css" media="screen">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/grid.css" type="text/css" media="screen">
</head>
I might have done something wrong, or created a wrong folder.
Here what I did to the folder: I created a folder placed on desktop. Inside the folder, there are css folder containing img folder, grid.css, and normalize.css, index.html.
Did I do something wrong?
Any help is appreciated!

10,861 PointsHi Danny Lee, did you save your 'grid.css' in the same folder that your 'index.css'? It's look like the browser cannot find the file in the right folder. The code look find.

15,389 PointsI apologize in advance if I'm misunderstanding you, but it sounds like you have the index.html inside your CSS folder.
It should not be in the CSS folder. It should be in the folder that contains the CSS folder. Like this:
