15,622 PointsTreehouse is not the be-all/end-all of what you need to do to get a job in web-design or development.
I have no doubt that with six months of full-time study (ie you're not working another job or going to school), A COMPONENT OF WHICH could be a Treehouse track, you get a job as a web developer. The most important thing is to be able to demonstrate your skills, so you need to apply what you learn and build some pet apps or websites and put them up somewhere. Even better if you also put the code on GitHub or similar.
If you're watching the videos, doing the code challenges and forgetting it five minutes later, you're doing it wrong. Being able to put together what you've learned to create working code is WAY harder, but I've no doubt that people who can apply the knowledge they get from Treehouse are the ones getting jobs (I'm an example).
And ... maybe I'll get banned for this - but Treehouse isn't the only place to get this knowledge either. Books can be great, as it's easier to refer back to things as you need them.

12,236 PointsWhy would you get banned for this? It's a quite recurring theme in the community forums that one might need to follow more than one course provider or use different resources to truly master a topic. Treehouse people are quite open-minded and I think they would never claim that they are the 'only' source of information.

15,622 PointsIt was an attempt at humour - albeit a poor one. I know that Treehouse is open minded about other content ... the courses here speak for themselves.
