Haven't we used a fluid grid?

#wrapper {
    max-width: 940px;
}

Isn't this a fluid grid, or am I not understanding what a fluid grid is?

Well the short answer is kinda. Actually what you have there is a fluid DIV (or box if you will) of some sort. But you put enough of those together and you have a fluid layout. Get them into a grid pattern and bam it's a fluid grid.

The important thing that makes it fluid is that you not use absolute units of measure (i.e.. px).

Hope that helps!

ps. we can go a lot deeper into what makes a grid a grid vs just a layout vs. just a box if you want :)

OK. I get it now, thanks.
