My github: https://github.com/crua9
My Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/craigbennettii
My site: http://techreviewsandhelp.com/
I am having somewhat a problem getting a coding job to reply back. I tend to use the profiles above when I apply to jobs. I tend to apply to jobs at places like https://angel.co/ and http://stackoverflow.com/jobs
I tend to apply MORE for the remote Android dev jobs. The only jobs I tend to hear back from is startups that can't pay right now.
Is there a stink about my profiles that is keeping me from getting a reply back from companies? Should I include Treehouse on my profiles to get a job, and would it actually help?
For my resume, I tend to use my Linkedin as possible. If I can't, then I download the PDF of my profile, and use that.
Any help would be welcome.

Create a new PDF and Word resume from scratch, using the one download from LinkedIn might give the wrong impression. If you're getting calls but never hear back from the companies then ask someone to hear you speaking thru the phone and tell you if you're doing something wrong

Courses Plus Student 1,865 PointsThanks, I'm going to add the projects to my website.
What did you mean by someone may get the wrong impression if I use my Linkedin as my resume?
As far as the "calls". The best I'm getting at this time is auto rejection e-mails. The last one I got said We have decided not to proceed with your candidacy for the _, _ position at _.
We received many qualified applicants and have decided to move ahead with another candidate whom we feel is a better match for this particular position.
Thanks again for your interest in _ and we wish you luck in your search.
Regards, _
It doesn't even make it to a phone interview.

23,289 PointsIf I was an employeer I'd think that you're too lazy or unprofessional to make a new Resume if you use one downloaded from LinkedIn

23,289 PointsYeah many recruiters doesn't even know about programming so they need to watch what projects have you done

8,712 PointsYou have a plethora of degrees, diplomas and certificates and perhaps those give the impression that you're overqualified for the jobs you seek.
At a quick glance (which is probably what most employers do if they have to go through 100s of applications) your profile is a bit too stuffed with various merits and other things, and it also seems that you do have experience in a large variety of fields; android development, filmmaking, sales, aeronautical engineering, and the list goes on.
While that's truly impressive, I couldn't tell what your profession is and/or what you specialize in within the first 30 seconds of scanning your profile. As I said above, it's a bit too much and it get's daunting fast.
If I was an employer, I imagine I would like to know what you know that's relevant to this job and less about the things that aren't directly relevant to the field. It might show your enthusiasm and ingenuity, but other than that, I probably wouldn't care much - I'd only want to know that you can do your job as efficient as possible and help my company reach it's goals.
Perhaps you should remove things that aren't absolutely necessary for someone to assess your skills and experience. For example I wouldn't think listing each individual course you've taken at college is needed on your linkedIn - I would rather send that info in as an attachment with my CV.
Perhaps an experienced HR manager would think differently, but this was my impression. Hope it helps and good luck!
