having problems

hi guys, this is my code, I have been working on it all weekend. (I know its pathetic) I have gotten one answer on a previous post about this, but no one is answering. Please help anyone :)

functions.swift
// Enter your code below
func getTowerCoordinates(location: String)->(first: Double, second: Double) {
switch location {

    case "Eiffel Tower": (48.8582, 2.2945)
    case "Great Pyramid": (29.9792, 31.1344)
    case "Sydney Opera House": (33.8587, 1512140)
    default: (0,0)}
    return (first, second)
}

Valeria, very close. Just a couple of changes needed. Each case of the switch needs to return a tuple, rather than having just one return statement at the end, and you're missing a decimal point in one of the longitudes.

// Enter your code below
func getTowerCoordinates(location: String) -> (Double, Double) {
  switch location {

    case "Eiffel Tower":
      return (48.8582, 2.2945)
    case "Great Pyramid":
      return (29.9792, 31.1344)
    case "Sydney Opera House":
      return (33.8587, 151.2140)
    default:
      return (0,0)

  }

}

thank you so much jcorum! this helped! Do you mind telling me though: why do I need to put a return statement at the end of each statement? on the class example we only did one return statement at the end specifying the return values. so before I kept trying to return (double, double) and then I named them and that didn't work either (obviously).

Thanks so much! You are the best!

Basically the answer is that each case is a path, and each path must have a return statement, just as in an if...else if...else... statement you would need 3 return statements, one for if..., one for else if .... and one for else...

If there is only one path then you only need one return, as in many simple functions.
