HAXM Installer Problems with Android Studio... Any suggestions???

Hello everyone So, I have been getting this message every time I try to run my emulator device:

Cannot launch AVD in emulator. Output: emulator: ERROR: x86 emulation currently requires hardware acceleration! Please ensure Intel HAXM is properly installed and usable. CPU acceleration status: HAXM must be updated (version 1.1.1 < 6.0.1).

So, I have made sure that my HAXM is installed and that I have installed everything else that I would need. But I do have a HAXM version 6.0.3. So, just to confirm, I am guessing that I should downgrade to less than 6.0.1 and then my problems will be solved (hopefully)? Any help appreciated, thank you!

Hey Jordan! I'm not sure what's wrong with your emulator, but I just wanted to chime in that both my PC and Mac are using HAXM 6.0.3 without issue. If you're still having issues, then I'd suggest looking into Genymotion.
