Try replacing the semi colons with an equal in the class attribute. instead of class:"social-links" , do class = "social-links"

You will need to replace the semi colons with the equals opeartor like such:-

<a href="#" class="social-links">Follow me on Twitter!</a>
<a href="#" class="social-links">Send me an Email!</a>

Also dont forget to add the definition in styles.css file for the social-links example:-

a.social-links { color: hotpink; }
