I am stuck on this question: Finally, create a new variable named email_greeting that puts treehouse and name into "X loves Y" so X is treehouse and Y is name.

email_greeting = name + " loves " + treehouse

I have this but it is not passing. What is it asking me to do?

Sorry I have

email_greeting = treehouse + " loves " + name

But I refreshed the page and it worked.

I'm not sure about the exact request but maybe you could write x + " loves " + y

X and Y are just placeholders. Change them to something else in your string.

Please share the whole code, what value does name and treehouse have?

Thanks!

You need to use the .format() to make the string works

You can also use the .format() like so

email_greeting = "{} loves {}".format(treehouse, name)
