iOS Swift Basics (retired) Types Numbers

help

its not working

numbers.swift
let title = "A Dance with Dragons"
var Double = "9.99"

1 Answer

The challenge asks you to declare three constants and assign them a specified initial value, so there is no need to try to specify the type of the constants as they are already assigned a value and type inference takes care of it. Also, numbers as an assignment to a constant or variable should not have quotation marks around them, unless you specifically want that number to be in the form of a String. Your answer should match the following:

let title = "A Dance with Dragons"
let price = 9.99
let yearPublished = 2011
