iOS Swift Basics (retired) Control Flow If Statement

i am a little confused

months.swift
let months = [1, 2, 3]
for 1 in months {
println ("January")

Hey Marco,

firstly you have to define a name for the temporary constant in the for loop, so use a constant name like month instead of 1 like you do now because variables and constants can't start with a number in Swift. Then you have to add an if clause for the first case, where you check if the number in the current iteration is 1 and if so, print out "January".

After that you should change your existing if clause to an else if clause and don't forget to change the name of the constant from months to month because right now you're comparing the whole array months to the numbers.

A working solution could look like this then:

let months = [1, 2, 3]
for month in months {
  if month == 1 {
    println("January")
  } else if month == 2 {
    println("February")
  } else if month == 3 {
    println("March")
  }
}
