Help freelancing.

I'm trying to get into web development. I've done some entry-level courses through and a handful of online sites (stuff like HTML/CSS and JavaScript), and I'm hoping to get some advice for moving on forward to some freelance work. Any thoughts, ideas, or advice?

Do you know anyone that might need your services? It does take a lot of effort to get into, but typically your best starting point might be someone you know, or someone who knows someone you know?

I can't think of anyone off the top of my head, but I'm keeping a lookout. I'm thinking that once I get a little bit of practice (maybe from building something for myself), I'll try to see what I can find on GitHub. Another option I might have is finding a local start-up business that could use a website.

Yes, exactly, just don't try to oversell the number of features they need, or your own ability. Start and grow slow, and you should be able to build a good network of referrals.

Speaking of which, referrals would be a great thing to build too.

Good luck!
