Help: Getting a Value.

Question

I am unable to figure out how to retrieve the value from the input. The best guess i have is $titleInput.val(); and place that inside the updatePreview function but that didn't work. Can any help me thru this?

Hey Ralph!

You've got the right idea - it's just how to answer the Code Challenge to make it pass!

You want to set var titleValue; to the value from the input field, using the $titleInput.val(); method you were talking about.

Then, you have titleValue set to a String, which is the value of the field! So, like you have correctly done in the code above, just fit this into $previewTitle.text().

Hopefully this should help you pass the challenge, but if you run into any more issues on the way, give me a shout :)
