6,191 PointsHelp! I can't seem to understand JS
I easily understand the basics of javascript(functions give a little trouble) but now that I've be doing DOM traversal I can't seem to get it! Whenever I watch the video I understand and when I follow along I understand but when I try to do it myself it always fails. Is this normal for most beginners? I've been doing this for a few months now for a couple hours a day. If you have tips to help me or if it's normal or anything that'd would be appreciated because I'm at the point where I don't want to quit because I love code but at the same time I'm getting really frustrated

24,449 PointsHi,
That's totally normal to feel that at the beginning, the best thing to do in my opinion is to practice a lot on small projects. try something like https://javascript30.com/.
Don't give up! :)
