Help, I don't understand how to do this with strings.

Modify the function named greeting to accept a parameter. Name the parameter person which is of type String

parameters.swift
func greeting() {
    println("Hello")
}

parameters to functions go inside the parenthesis after the function name. you give parameters a name and a type. the name comes first, followed by a colon, then the type of the parameter. multiple parameters are seperated with a comma:

func someFunction(someParameter: Int, anotherParameter: String) {

to add a parameter named person and that is of type string you would use:

func greeting(person: String) {
    println("Hello")
}
