JavaScript jQuery Basics Introducing jQuery Using text() and html()

Help! I've tried to add the answer with this question but it sill won't pass me, is there anything i'm not seeing here!

I've tried 1000 different times to add the answer with this question but it sill won't pass me, is there anything i'm not seeing here?

You've just learned how to use the jQuery methods text() and html(). Use the appropriate jQuery method to select the h1 element by its class name and set its contents to "Student <span>Profile</span>".

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
    <title>Document</title>
</head>
<body>
    <h1 class="profile-header"></h1>
    <p class="profile-text"></p>

    <script
    src="jquery-3.2.1.min.js"></script>
    <script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
app.js
$('.profile-header').html("Student <span>Profile</span>");

Hi there, Adrian! You're doing great, but the line that you had coded in Step 1 and Step 2 is now missing entirely from your code. These tasks are cumulative. You are not meant to remove the code you added previously unless explicitly asked to do so. Take a look at what is in the place where you normally receive a Bummer message before you hit "Check work".

Important: In each task of this code challenge, the code you write should be added to the code from the previous task.

Replacing the line that completed Step 1 and Step 2 along with this line, causes Step 3 to pass :smiley:

Hope this helps! :sparkles:

Pass it did! Thank You.

Hey! Your code is passing. Just make sure not to delete the code from the first two tasks.

Nice! Thank You for that.
