Hi there! Would it be encouraging to know that you're off by a total of one word? Take a look:

var initialScore = 8
let totalScore = ++initialScore
let isWinner = totalScore != 10 

I had a rather lengthy discussion about this specific challenge with someone less than a day ago. Hopefully, it will clarify why we are doing this and what exactly it does.
