Help me understand

Alright, let's finish making our menu. Combine the sundaes list into a new variable named display_menu, where each item in the list is rejoined together by a comma and a space (", ").

Then reassign the menu variable to use the existing variable and .format() to replace the placeholder with the new string in display_menu.

If you're really brave, you can even accomplish this all on the same line where menu is currently being set.

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"

sundaes = available.split(";")
menu = "our available flavors are:"

The split method will split a string at every place of the character you pass as a parameter

available.split(";")

So this will split at every semi-colon in the string stored in the variable 'available', and store each segment as a value in a list. So your values will look like this (behind the scenes)

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"

sundaes = ["banana split", "hot fudge", "cherry", "malted", "black and white"]

You can see how the string was split at every semi-colon

sundaes = ["banana split", "hot fudge", "cherry", "malted", "black and white"] menu = 'drinks are {}'.format(sundaes) display_menu = 'drinks are {}'.format(', '.join(sundaes))

in last line i need help
