Python Python Basics (2015) Number Game App Even or Odd

Help me with my code

This one should be short and sweet. Write a function named even_odd that takes a single argument, a number. return True if the number is even, or False if the number is odd. You can use % 2 to find out the remainder when dividing a number by 2. Even numbers won't have a remainder....

even.py
def even_odd(number):
    for number in even_odd:
        if number % 2 == 0:
            return True
        else:
            return False
even_odd = 2

Nice! You got everything right except the first part. Remove 'for number in even_odd:'. Then it should work, it is only one number, not multiple so you don't have to loop through it. Also remove the last part, 'even odd = 2'
