You are almost there, the problem is you are resetting the variable on your third line instead of creating a new Toast. just lose the variable and you should be good to go
Toast allDoneToast = Toast.makeText(this,"All done!",Toast.LENGTH_LONG);
allDoneToast.show();
Toast.makeText(this,"some other text!",Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();
