Help with this one-completely stuck, would really appreciate another persons insights into why this thing wont run

<?php //Available roles: admin, editor, author, subscriber if (!isset($role)) { $role = 'subscriber'; }

//change to switch statement switch ($role) { case "admin": echo "As an admin, you can add, edit, or delete any post"; break; default: echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administrator."; } ?>

switch.php
<?php
//Available roles: admin, editor, author, subscriber
if (!isset($role)) {
    $role = 'subscriber';
}

//change to switch statement
switch ($role) {
  case "admin":
    echo "As an admin, you can add, edit, or delete any post";
    break;
    default:
    echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administrator.";

Hi there, Sinead KACHROO ! You're doing terrific and you are off by literally one character.

The string that echos out when the user is an admin is meant to have a full stop/period at the end.

Where you typed:

echo "As an admin, you can add, edit, or delete any post";

The challenge is expecting:

echo "As an admin, you can add, edit, or delete any post.";

Note the full stop/period immediately following the word "post" :smiley:

Hope this helps! :sparkles:

No way, I saw this answer and thought I was on Candid Camera! :) Thank you! Didnt even think to look at what was inside the double quotes!

When doing workspace challenges it is very important that you write the exactly as they give it to you. Your code is fine but you left off a period in the sentence "As an admin, you can add, edit, or delete any post." Doing so will render the code wrong
