Python Python Basics Functions and Looping Raise an Exception

Hey guys, I can't figure out the issue, can some one help me with the "raise a ValueError" assignment?

def suggest(product_idea): product_idea = input("Provide New Product Name Ideas ") if len(product_idea) < 3:

suggestinator.py
def suggest(product_idea):
    product_idea = input("Provide New Product Name Ideas ")
    if len(product_idea) < 3:
        raise ValueError("Product idea needs to be more than 3 characters")
    return product_idea + "inator"

1 Answer

There is no need for input as product_idea is passed into the function. So delete that line and you should be good.

Thanks Kris, that did it.
