Heyy fellow treehouse students!

Heyy, i am wondering if any of you can give me a list of software i may need throughout all the tracks?

The software you are going to need is pretty independent to the type of code you are developing.

For basic HTML and CSS, you need nothing but a text editor program, such as Notepad++, and a modern browser. All of these are free. For PHP, you need a local server, such as XAMPP(windows) or Mampp(Mac), and a text editor and browser. Again, all of these are free.

the only thing you will need illusttrator/photoshop for are the illustrator and photoshop courses. All images are provided for you in the other tracks. Now it wouldnt hurt to have it and most universities have it for free, or if you feel comfortable spending the money or have some other way of obtaining it would be good to go ahead and get it since they are great design tools

I'd just like to add that if your interested in iOS development your going to need a Mac as you can't use Xcode with any other platform other than mac osx.

It depends on what you want to learn. I have Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 and have needed it for those courses.

Other than that, I use SublimeText2 as my text editor. OR you can use Notepad++. Either are free.
