used the above code within script tags. i gor this url from the CDN link in the jquery site. the one shown in the video and the one that opens in the website look differenr . dont know which one to download? so my challenge on the next lesson is not passing.can someone look into it pls?

Good job asking for help, that's actually an important skill in programming -- knowing when you need to get some advice.
The problem with your code is that you are linking to jQuery UI, not jQuery. jQuery UI is another part of jQuery that helps with making the presentation layer of a website look a certain way, while jQuery itself is just around to help with the functionality of a website.
Here is the URL for a minified version of jQuery:
