Hi guys need help with swapping the automatically generated icon with my own in Android Studio?

So I'm finished building my first app, it's a very simple fact one. I have tested it and I am almost ready to deploy it, I just need to change the icon. I tried the steps suggested in the video. I copied and pasted my icon in and I tried holding down alt while moving the file. I have not been able to override the file at all. It keep giving me the option to copy my logo there, then it will not build. Is there another way that I can go about doing this ? Or perhaps something I missed ? Thanks in advance.

Hi Peaches,

I've had the same issue, you can't copy it into Android Studio, but you can copy it into this directory if you open it with 'Windows Explorer' or 'Mac variant?'. My best guess is to navigate to your User folder, in my case: C:\Users(your own name). This map contains a AndroidStudioProjects folder, open it and navigate to the drawable folders of you project!

Example: C:\Users\Your name here\AndroidStudioProjects\Your app\app\src\main\res
