Java Java Objects Meet Objects Add a Getter

Hi guys Trying to add a getter method to expose the color field. However keep getting an error

class GoKart { private String color = "red";

public String color getColor(){ return color; } }

GoKart.java
class GoKart {
  private String color = "red";

  public String color getColor(){
    return color;
}
}

You need to remove the extra word color from the method. So:

  public String getColor(){
      return color;
  }

We've got:

  • public: access modifier
  • String: return type
  • getColor: method name

The word color in addition to that was confusing the compiler, it didn't know what to do with it in this context.
