How can I include ten multiples in my array?

I think I almost have it.

loops.swift
// Enter your code below
var results: [Int] = []

for number in 1...10 {
print("\(number) times 6 is equal to \(number*6)")
  let multiplier = number
  var multiple = [multiplier*6]
  var results = [multiple]
}

Hi Joni,

You are close but there are a couple of mistakes in your code.

  1. Use .append(value) to update the existing results array
  2. Do not declare a new results array inside the loop
  3. Make sure that multiple is just an Int and not an array with an int.

Once you do the above, you get something like this.

// Enter your code below
var results: [Int] = []

for number in 1...10 {
    print("\(number) times 6 is equal to \(number*6)")
    let multiplier = number
    var multiple = multiplier*6 // should be a value not an array
    results.append(multiple) // add items to existing array
}

results // this line is for testing in playground only

I hope that helps,

Mike

there is no need to create a new variable to represent number or the result of the multiplication

it can be shortened to results.append(number*6)
