console.log("What you want to see logged to the console");

Hello. Console is an object. When you want to call a method on the object you need to use a dot. You can write to console in f.e. Chrome (F12) console and you can see methods which console provides. One of them is log. As Marco Fregoso writes it is console.log. Console does not provide method =. For more informations look at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Console.
