How can I write an if statement by comparing an integer to a list time=5 store_hours=[1,2,3] if time=store_hours

if time=store_hours:
    store_open=True
else:
    store_open=False

you can check to see if it is 'in' the list.

if time in store_hours:
    store_open = True

store_open = None store_hours = [9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18] time = 18 if time in store_hours: store_open = True else: store_open = False

Why this is the answer? Bummer! store_open is not False.

Do not create the time variable, just write the if statement and you will pass.

store_open = None
store_hours = [9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18]

if time in store_hours:
    store_open=True
else:
    store_open=False
