13,407 PointsHow can you make sure that site you choose for your domain is really owned by that site to secure my content?
For example, if I choose michelemorison.com, how can I trust that my domain is really secure and more importantly the content? If I make a website for my daughter's photography I need to make sure that those images are safe on that site and that some outside entity doesn't own it or make me pay for my own content.

15,897 PointsInformation Security is a huge topic. Your web host also might offer security service packages.
Here's an article with some good info in that direction: http://www.creativebloq.com/web-design/website-security-tips-protect-your-site-7122853

This article is more from a design agency standpoint but is still relevant to your questions and does a good job of breaking down ownership of content: https://www.orbitmedia.com/blog/website-terminology/
