26,676 PointsHi Chris,
There most diffidently is but I recommend you complete the basics of Objective-C as it helps to know and understand the basics of Foundation and UIKit which are Apple's core frameworks for building apps, once you've done that you can then move onto Apple's new programming language Swift which is far easier on the eyes.

Courses Plus Student 2,040 Pointsi recommend you to watch the Swift Basics first, since it is easier when it comes to how you write the code while still learning the same concepts. Amit Bijlani also makes a good teacher so believe you'll catch up fast. Once you get the hang of the basic concepts like variables, loops, control flow and operators, you can go back here and you'll only have to worry about the syntax. Don't get discouraged easily bro :)

Courses Plus Student 453 PointsActually I find the instruction quite clear, but I can see why some students may be confused if they are new to this. I am a relative novice myself, but I find that reading ahead on the topics facilitates understanding of the videos. Thus, I would have suggested that the instructor provide supplementary links with information to assist amateurs.
