how did i open the window with the html and css?

I had the Google homepage called up on my computer and accidentally punched in something that made the html and css pop up in a window alongside, and I was pretty excited to have the beginnings of understanding it. Can I show the html and css for any website I can call up? What keys did I press to do it?

Hi there! There are a couple of possible answers here and it depends on what your operating system is. If you're on a Windows/Linux machine the key combination should be CTRL + U. If you're on a Mac, it should be Command + U. However, if you don't want to have to remember the keyboard shortcuts you can always right click on a webpage and choose to view the source. This will show you the source code for the webpage you're looking at.

Hope this helps! :sparkles:

Thanks! it's great for learning how stuff is done!
